Short version: if you subscribe to the newsletter, we store your email address. That's it. The cat is not interested in your data.

Who is responsible

UseDat.ai is a personal project run from Norway. Questions about your data: hello@usedat.ai.

What we store

Newsletter: your email address and the time you signed up. Nothing else.
Spam protection: to limit repeated signup attempts, a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address is kept for at most one hour, then deleted automatically. The real IP address is never saved.
Your settings: the scanline on/off choice and your best score in the game are saved only in your own browser (localStorage). They never leave your device.
The tools and floating ideas: what you type into them stays in your browser and disappears when you leave the page. Nothing is sent to us.

We use no tracking cookies, no ad trackers and no third-party fonts or scripts.

Why

We store your email to send you the newsletter, because you asked for it (your consent, GDPR article 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw that consent at any time.

Where the data lives

The site and the newsletter list are hosted by Cloudflare, which processes the data on our behalf. Cloudflare may process data outside the EEA under the EU standard contractual clauses and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. We don't sell or share your email with anyone.

How long

Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Then it is removed.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or to unsubscribe, by emailing hello@usedat.ai. If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).
